Highlights

Recap 2008-2009

2008-2009 was a very productive year for PSPA. The following are some of our key accomplishments:

  • Reached out to every parent regardless of distance via live stream and posting our monthly meetings on the PA Net
  • Provided the Academy with a check for $5000.00 in an   effort to continue to support the endowment
  • Provided students with a check for $6,605.00 in the venue of funding club grants
  • Held the largest Summer Opportunities Event yet with approximately 90 Vendors producing over $18,000.00
  • Sponsored, sold and distributed over 200 Senior DVD’s of Graduation and Senior Events
  • Held two information meetings for parents in conjunction with the College Counseling Office.
  • Sponsored and supplied refreshments for the Senior Pre-Prom Party
  • Sponsored 8 events total, 2 events per class, to promote social gatherings including BBQ’s, Beach Trips, Ice Cream Socials, Pizza Parties, and Theme Parties
  • Donated $1000.00 toward Winter Carnival
  • Donated $1000.00 toward Summer Carnival
  • Provided $500 for a Senior Class Gift
  • Provided $1,000.00 per Cluster for a total of $5,000.00 to promote social functions within and between the Clusters
  • Sold over $20,000.00 in PSPA Merchandising
  • Launched the new PSPA Graduation Charm for Merchandising
  • Held the Annual Fall Reception for Parents featuring Barbara Landis Chase as the guest speaker
  • Held the October meeting coordinating with Parents’ Weekend featuring Paul Murphy as the guest speaker
  • Worked in conjunction with the Dean of Students to launch the Parent2Parent program assisting underage travelers
  • Assisted parents and students in dorms at Orientation Weekend
  • Held Merchandise Sales at: Orientation,  Parent’ Weekend, Andover / Exeter Games, Holiday Sale, Summer Opportunity Fair, Graduation and Alumni Weekend
