October 18, 2011 “Wellness Week Featured Speaker” (7:00 p.m. Kemper Auditorium) Wellness Week Featured Speaker: Renowned neuroscientist and best selling author David Eagleman. Often called the Carl Sagan of neuroscience, David Eagleman is a scientist and author who provides a new framework for understanding our brains — and, by extension, ourselves. Eagleman’s book, Incognito, is a New York Times bestseller. Eagleman will discuss the brain science of getting things done and how that affects our students.

Panel presentation including Mike Kuta, Director of Athletics, and faculty from the school’s intramural and life activity programs to discuss PA’s approach to athletics, generalization vs. specialization, and health and wellness through fitness.
January 12, 2012 “Extracurriculars at PA”(7 p.m. Kemper Auditorium)
Panel discussion and Q&A about PA’s Extracurricular activities. The discussion will include an overview of the variety of activities available, how students get involved, how they balance academics with extracurriculars, the benefits of involvement, etc. Panelists will include Chris Capano, Director of Student Activities; Brad Sinultzer, Interim Director of Community Service; and a student panel including the editor of the Phillipian, a Brace and CAMD Scholar, Student Activity Board members, as well as representatives from a variety of clubs and organizations on campus.
